Birthday Card with Purse - Hayden

Welcome back Scrapy Land bloggers and we have another exciting Scrapy Land Challenge - Anything Goes.  We would love to see what you have to share with us.  It is always exciting to see what you have created and we enjoy reading your information about your cards or projects on your blog.

Also, don't miss out on the new arrival of 247  dies at Scrapy Land at discounted prices from list prices.  Scrapy Land has over 40 name-brand dies for you.

I have an exciting card to share with you.  I have several grand daughters who will have birthdays these next coming months and two that will be 14 years old.

The purse idea was inspired by Angie Evans who created this on her cards.  I took her idea and made a tutorial.  This was my first tutorial using Snapguide and one page did not get saved about mentioning her name as well as some other information before it got published.  Therefore, I definitely want to give credit to Angie Evans for inspiring me to use her purse idea.

I will be sharing with you the front, inside and back of this card.  The supplies used in front of this card are all from Scrapy Land:  Creative Expression-Sue Wilson Designs dies: Happy Birthday, Charming Heart Corner, String Flowers, Classic Fold Over Flowers, and Lace Edge Leaves.   The embossing folders are the Sue Wilson Design:  A4 Rambling Blossoms (background) and A4 Pin Point Beaded Fanfare (purse).   I used foam tape inside the purse and glue on the edge of the purse to give it a 3-D appearance and added the flat back pearls and a pearl brad to the purse.

Sue Wilson Design dies:
Classic Fold Over Flowers
Charming Heart Corner
String Flowers
Lace Edge Leaves

I am using the Sue Wilson Design Happy Birthday die often since it allows a space to add a name or number.  The number 14 is the Cottage Cutz Elites Die -Number Candles.

Always my all time favorite border is the Cheery Lynn Designs-Anastasia Border (left side of card).  I use this often when I want the look of lace on my card.

Check out How">http://snp.gd/hbtnua">How to Make a Purse for Your Card or Project
by Nancy Hill on Snapguide.
The die on the purse is the Marianne Design Anja's Vintage Decoration and the gorgeous ribbon on the purse is called the Antique Gold seam binding ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon

I used the Spellbinder/Heartfelt Creation Blossom Corner die for the inside of my cards to insert a check or money.

This Cheery Lynn Design- Polynesian Sails Oval is always a nice oval doily die to use for sentiments, pictures and photos.  I love this doily especially for vintage cards.  I don't glue the lace part of the doily but just the inside oval to bring out the lace.

Inside the doily, I used the Sparkle N Sprinkle.com  sentiment:   Happy Birthday - Digital Stamp Set 578t and on the sentiment was a Sparkle N Sprinkle flower that was stamped with glue and then applied the gorgeous Sparkle N Sprinkle Starfire glitter which is difficult to see the beauty of this glitter in the photo.

I stamp all of my cards on back with my name and have the Cheery Lynn Design - Kitty Kitty Meow Meow die cut added to it.  One year, I bought a cat for the farm and pretty soon, I had kittens galore  until I got the mom and a young cats spayed.  My friends and family thought it was hilarious about my cat and kitten stories.  Therefore, this cat/kitty die cut just reminds everyone of my stories about how productive one cat and a few younger cats can be in such a short time.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment.  Visit the rest of our very creative designers and have fun with this exciting challenge.

I am entering this card in the following challenge:
