This is a Aqua and Coral colored card made with mostly Wild Orchid Craft flowers and Graphic 45 Paper from Secret Garden.  There is a diamond on the banner to represent April's birth stone which is a diamond.  I made the bow using the Zutter Bow Maker.  The umbrella is cut from a die from Marianne Designs.

I made the banner and used Ranger Liquid Pearl black for the corners of the banner.  My grand daughter is in track and I used the school colors for the banner and frame of the card.  She loves making the Impression Obsession Spiral Flowers so I added the flowers to the card.  I didn't have any greenery so I added my favorite die, the Pine Branch Die from Impression Obsession.

Since I retired a year ago, I hope to increase the number of my Impression Obsession dies and stamps to make more cards.

Mother's Day Card #2

I had a lot of fun making this Mother's Day card using Cherry Lynn Design, Marianne Design and Tattered Lace dies.  I cut out small pieces of different Graphic 45 paper and glued the pieces on a 8 x11 paper and then cut out the Tattered Lace Monumental 'Love' to create a quilted look.  I added ink stitching around the 'Love' letters to give it more of a home-made vintage look. I made the lady bug out of Ranger Liquid Pearl, red and black.  I colored the black dots on the lady bug with a black ink pen.  I used an old vellum label for the inside sentiment and used Martha Stewart bow punch for the small bows on top of the sentiment.   I found some beautiful lace for a bow and added pearls around the frame.

The brands used:
Cherry Lynn Design dies: Baby Breath, Tea Rose, Flourish Leaf Strip, Small Gardenia, Small Exotic Butterfly #1, Kiwi Oval Frame
Tattered Lace dies:  Monumental Love and white corners are Cherish Heart Corners
Graphic 45 Paper
Marianne Design die around picture.

Easter Card for 2015

I wanted to make a few cards with Christ picture on them and still keep the vintage look.  The paper came from Graphic 45.  The Cherry Lynn dies used were:  'Easter' 'Blessings' and 'Leaf Flourish' and the center of the Heartfelt Creation flowers were from the Cherry Lynn die set, 'Flower #1'.  The frame dies are from Spellbinder Nestabilities set.

I find my charms at garage sales and thrift stores.  While looking at the back of this cross on the card, it had Lourdes and Lucille engraved on it.  Question if it came from Europe.  Sending this card at Easter time to my grand daughter that is temporarily living in New York City.

Easter Card for April

Easter is this week and I decided to use my Spellbinder dies to create this card.  The rose, Easter Blessing and white flourish is from Cherry Lynn but the rest is from Spellbinder.  The paper is Graphic 45.  The bow was made using the Zutter Bow Maker.

Card for a Man

I had a lot of fun making this but the idea came from another person's tutorial about how to create this paper and fishing vest.
I created the camouflaged paper by using the colored inks with a sponge:  olive, mustard, brown.  I stamped the paper using the same ink colors using leaf stamps and used my Copic Marker brown to draw the branch on the paper and used a white ink pen before cutting this out to create this fishing vest.

My Cherry Lynn Dies were the sayings:  Dream Big, Happy, and Birthday

Wedding Card

I just received the Cherry Lynn Anastasia Border and used it for my outside frame of the card.  I also got the Cherry Lynn Small Tea Rose die with the same order from Cherry Lynn Company.  I did a few tea roses using this die but added this time two Prima pink flowers behind the roses which added some dimension and contrast.  The miniature white flowers are from the Cherry Lynn Baby Breath Flower Kit die and added the Ranger Liquid Pearl and the Congratulations is also from Cherry Lynn.  Their is a small dragon fly from the Cherry Lynn Tiny Things That Fly die.

The couple is made using the Tattered Lace Couple die and added Ranger Liquid Pearl to the dress.  The gold frame is from Spellbinder and I added gold embossing on the outside of the frame.

Happy Birthday Box card

I had a new learning experience building my first pop up box card.  There were several tutorials on how to build a pop up box card.  The tutorial that I used was located at:  http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/popupboxcard/ from Monica Gale.  A pop up box card is created to fold down to fit into an envelope.

I cut narrow strips with different lengths from a clear paper protector sheet and glued each flower, balloon, butterfly and 'Happy Birthday' on each strip giving with different lengths to give the height that I wanted for each one.  My challenge and time were arranging the flowers, balloons, etc. before finally gluing everything to the inside of the card.  One tutorial suggested to tape the strips and/or flowers, etc. inside the card first which can be removed again and again until you achieved the arrangement that you wanted before finally gluing it to the inside of the card which I used and recommend.

Several Cherry Lynn dies were used to build this card.  On the outside bottom of the card was the Cherry Lynn Sophia Heart Border (see in the pictures the scallop of this border).  The "Happy Birthday" is from Cherry Lynn.  The flowers came from Cherry Lynn Manon's Wedding Garland die.  I used the small flower from this die.  In the center of the arrangement, I used the Cherry Lynn Small Exotic Butterflies #1 as well as the Cherry Lynn Mini Fanciful Flourish

I created the presents with the ribbon using a square punch and the bows were created using the Zutter Bow Maker.  The balloons were punched from an old punch.

Additional dies from other companies used were the Cottage Cutz Number Candles and Marianne Designs Cupcake.  The paper is from Graphic 45 'Celebrate'

Happy Birthday with Tattered Lace and Graphic 45

I just got the Tattered Lace Monumental Moments Happy Birthday.  I had many small Graphic 45 pieces of paper so I took a sheet of 8 x 11 inch paper and glued the small pieces of Graphic 45 papers from different pads until the 8 x 11 inch paper was covered.  I used the Spellbinder Grand Calibur to cut the Happy Birthday die from the 8 x 11 paper.  I used Wild Orchid Craft flowers and Cherry Lynn Design flourish, Baby Breathe flowers and leaf strip dies.  The watch was bought at a garage sale and I used copper Melt Art and black ink to give it an antique look.

Get Well Soon Card

This week's challenge, the theme is to make your own flowers.  I made flowers that are starting to bloom in my yard such as:  Shasta daisies, peonies, cherry blossoms, and tulips for this card.   I used the digital Wee Stamp, Daphne and I colored it with colored pencils since the printer ink smears when I use Copic Markers.  I used the Graphic 45 Secret Gardens paper for the main background.  I bought the charm at a garage sale.  Used my Zutter Bow Maker VS 2 to create the pink bow.

Cherry Lynn dies were:
Sweet Williams - D137 (Peonies)
Shasta Daisy - B310 along with the center Build a Flower #1 #B181
Mini Fanciful Flourish - B117S
Baby's Breath Flower Kit - B364 (Cherry Blossom flowers)
Tea Rose Small - B435 for the trumpet of the daffodils and cut out the petals of the daffodils with scissors
Francesca Border - B159 (Frame around the card)
Get Well Soon Phrases - B249
Sophia's Heart - DL184 (Doily)
Small Exotic Butterflies #1 - DL112AB (Vellum paper, inked with pink and used Metal Art clear embossing powder)
