Bridge Card with Prima Marketing Havana Collection

Welcome back crafter friends and happy weekend to you.  I am sharing today how to create a bridge card and shabby chic flowers used for my sample bridge cards.   This is a really impressive looking card and how simple it actually is compared to how beautiful you can make your bridge card look! The whole card collapses flat to easily fit in a regular medium envelope. Love it! Ok, now, this is just too much fun! Turn off your computer, go get in the craft room and try this one right away.

I have two bridge card samples using the gorgeous Prima Marketing Havana paper, Havana chipboard and Prima Marketing Havana Rose Words and Stickers.   The Brigide card will fold down to fit in an envelope.

Tutorial for Making a Bridge Card
To begin, you'll need:

  • Sturdy plain and patterned cardstock
  • Embellishments
  • Score board
  • Adhesive such as the Beacon 3 n 1 Advance glue and/or Scor Tape

Step 1

Step 2

Step 3

Step 4

Step 5:  Depending on what you want in the center of the card, I cut out a 3" x 4 3/4" patterned paper and glued on the inside of the card.  If you want a sentiment, I cut out one 2 1/2" x 4 1/4" white cardstock paper, stamp the sentiment and glued in the center.  Then glue the last strip to the front of the card as shown below or add a sentiment to the strip and then glue to front of the card.  Embellish the card and have fun finishing it with ribbons, charms, stickers, etc.

I made my shabby chic flower with the Prima Marketing Havana paper.  I cut out two sizes of the flower petals.  I used 1/2" x 1/2" double sided Scor-Tape to the center of the flower and then stuck pink lace in the center and glue the other patterned paper flower for the next layer of the flower.

Thank you for coming to see what my tutorials were about today!

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!

Stamperia Voyage Gift Box

I am excited to share an altered box using the Stamperia 12 x 12 Voyages Fantastiques paper collection.  The Rubber Buggy carries these major name-brand craft supplies with fast delivery and wonderful customer services.

Stamperia 12 x 12 Voyages Fantastiques paper collection
I have so much fun making these gift boxes like this Steam Puck gift box that will be given to my grandson's birthday.  The sentiment is in the inside of the box and this will be filled with gifts and money.
I added Prima Marketing acrylic paints and waxes on the metal embellishments and used  a hot glue gun to adhere the metal embellishment collections of Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Metal Mini Gears and Prima Marketing Finnabair Mechanical hardware to the box. THe gorgeous key hole is the Graphic 45 Ornate Metal Key Hole embellishment.   The watch is from the Tim Holtz -Ideao-Ology Metal Watch set.  I used the Beacon 3 n 1 Advanced glue to glue the Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Ephemera Expedition signs on the top of the box.  A few embellishments like the blue stone and corner were found in my stash.  I like going to thrift store and garage sales to pick up some crazy embellishments that I might find useful in the future like this gift box.

I used the Prima Marketing Finnabiar Art Alchemy Metallique Acrylic paints and Prima Marketing Art Alchemy Metallique waxes on the metal embellishments.  I used the Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Alpha Time Chipboard Letters for the name.

Back of box

I typed the sentiment on brown paper and sponged distress inks from Ranger Antique Linen ink around the edges.  I used left over pieces of the Stamperia paper and glued it on the inside of the box and used Beacon 3 n 1 Advance glue to glue the sentiment.

Lawn Fawn Fairy Friends

Welcome back and Nancy, here, to share another card made with the adorable Lawn Fawn dies and stamp set.

Isn't it fun to create to play with these Lawn Fawn stamp and die set like this Lawn Fawn Fairy Stamp Set and Lawn Fawn Fairy Die Set .
Lawn Fawn Fairy Stamp Set and Lawn Fawn Fairy Die Set
I viewed a few tutorials on how others colored these little fairies from the Lawn Fawn Fairy Stamp set and used a few of their techniques as well as added my own techniques. I used Copic Markers to color the fairies and their house along with adding the Wink Of Stella clear glitter pen to the wings of the fairies. This added a nice clear glitter sheen to each of the fairy's wings.

I added the white dots on the fairies and their house with the wonderful Uni-Ball White pen which I highly recommend after coloring them with Copic Markers.  The Uni-Ball White pen has been the only white pen that has lasted me for a few years without jelling or drying out.  All of the other brands of white pens were thrown in the trash after using them for a few weeks or month.

I fussy cut the fairies and their house and colored with Copic Markers.  The Lawn Fawn Flower Hill Pop Up Die Set comes in the background, tulips and flowers.  I cut out the background in a blue green cardstock and cut out the tulips in yellow and flowers in two different tones of pink.  I stamped the sentiment in the banner in a lavender ink.

I used a rectangle die set that fits well with the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle die set.

I sponged the center using the Lawn Fawn Sun Flower Ink Pad to appear as a sunset and sponged on blue ink around the yellow sunset.  I glued the Lawn Fawn Stitched Mountain Border with the Lawn Fawn Flower Hill Pop Up Die Set die this rectangle and then cut out the over handing edges around this rectangle before gluing on the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame.

I embossed the fairy dust stars with a clear glitter embossing powder.

Father's Day Dad and Me Card

Welcome back and Father's Day is almost here.  The Lawn Fawn Dad and Me stamp and die sets are a wonderful way to create your wonderful card or project for you dad or grandpa.

I just love this Lawn Fawn Dad and Me stamp set.  This time, I fussy cut the stamps instead of using the die set since I didn't want the white edges except for the cat tails.  I used Copic Markers to color the moose.  I love watching videos and tutorials on ways to improve my coloring and LeAnn from Lawn Fawn Design Team,  shows a wonderful video, click HERE, on how she colors the Lawn Fawn Dad and Me set.

I cut out the Lawn Fawn Scalloped circle die and then embossed the brown cardstock with a wood embossing folder.  I had some patterned brown papers from an ole stash and cut out the Lawn Fawn mountains and brown dotted cat tails.  I added the Lawn Fawn Grassy border beside the Lawn Fawn Dad and Me pond that was stamped with light blue ink and used a darker Copic Marker around the edges of the pond.

I stamped the sentiment from the Dad and Me stamp set and cut it out using the Cheery Lynn Fish Tail banner die.  I die cut out the small and medium Lawn Fawn Simple Puffy clouds and only used the puffy cloud frame.  I really love this set since I can get a frame of the cloud or the full cloud when die cut.

Lawn Fawn O-Fish-Ally card

Welcome back and I am excited to share another Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel card.  This one is for my grandson who is turning three years old.  How time flies so fast.  I had so much fun making this one with the adorable forest animals which are seen in our area.
I viewed the Lawn Fawn tutorial from Lawn Fawn on how to create a reveal wheel card.  Lawn Fawn has the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Rectangle as well as the new Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Square set.  The Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame was adhered behind the reveal wheel which coordinated very well together.

This time, I didn't use the Lawn Fawn Dad and Me Die Set with this Lawn Fawn Dad and Me stamps since I wanted the animals to blend into the scene very well so I stamped and cut them out with a scissors.  I colored the animals and fish with Copic Markers before using the Beacon 3 in 1 Advanced clear tacky glue to adhere these critters on the card.

I just love the little Lawn Fawn Simply Puffy Clouds with so many ways and three different sizes that cuts out the frame of the cloud and the cloud.  As you see in the photo above, I cut out the small sized cloud and put the cloud frame on top of the cloud.  I added a number three and adhered it to the inside of the cloud frame on the right.

For the background, I cut out this reveal wheel with white cardstock and sponged on some pale blue for the sky.  I adhered the Lawn Fawn Stitched Mountains Border die set with brown cardstock and the mountain tops with white glitter paper.  Then, I glued on the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border die before adding the animals, pond, fish, rocks and cottontails all from the Lawn Fawn Dad and Me Stamp Set set.  I used the Lawn Fawn Rawsome stamp set to stamp and cut out the party hats.
