Purrfectly I Love You

Welcome back and Nancy, here. to start a purrfect day with the Lawn Fawn stamp and die sets for a Valentine's card or for any occasion.  These Lawn Fawn Purrfectly Wicked kitties will put a spell on you to get your hands on them and create magically cards but better get your order in while supplies last at The Rubber Buggy because these stamps are too purrfect to pass up.

I used this year's Fall arrival of Lawn Fawn Purrfectly Wicked stamp set with the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Slimline With Hearts die set and Lawn Fawn Lots Of Hearts Background Stencil sponged with the Ranger Distress inks Pitted Raspberry and Kitsch Flamingo.  I love how this fits so well in a regular envelope for easy mailing.  The Lawn Fawn Scalloped Slimline die set have stitched scalloped borders. The rectangular die with heart openings is great for making a shaker card! Also available in a Portrait version.

Instructions:

  • Cut out a 6 3/4" x 8 1/4".  Score in the center lengthwise at 3 1/4"

  • Die cut two with Lawn Fawn Scalloped Slimline With Hearts die set of white and pink cardstock.
  • With the white slimline layer that will be in front, lay the Lawn Fawn Lots of Hearts Background stencil and sponge on the distress inks listed above.
  •  Poke out the letters in the pink hearts that was cut out from the Lawn Fawn Slimline with Hearts die.   Glue together and glue the pink hearts in the slimline heart die cut section.
  • Stamp, color and cut out the mouse and kitties and glue to card
  • Add handmade bow and rose to card.  I use glue or Scor Tape for to adhere bows to my card but use hot glue gun for the rose to adhere to the bow.
I am entering this card in the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #117 Lots of Hearts

So get crafting and have a fabulous  day and thanks for visiting.

Blue Fern Studio Yuletide Christmas Card with Pocket

Welcome back Friends!  Love making cards and projects when I play with beautiful papers like this Blue Fern Studio Yuletide paper collection!   Nancy, here, to share another one of my vintage shabby chic Christmas cards made with the beautiful Blue Fern Studio Yuletide cardstock of Christmastime in Victorian days with winter florals, classic patterns, birds, and berries showcasing wintry themes of ice-skating and sleds of warm vintage tones throughout the collection to create your beautiful cards, albums,  and home decor with this incredible collection.
This vintage card is adorned with a wintery pearly and flourish snowflake shaker chipboard (Laserowe Love Chipboard Bauble Ornament Shaker Box Shabby Wintery chipboard) and adding sequins behind the snowflake ornament for added movement to the card.  After cutting my burlap to frame the sentiment, I pulled some of the rows of burlap strings around the edges to add to that rustic appearance.

Solid cardstock:  My Color Cardstock - Gold Metallic cardstock, Deep reddish brown cardstock, white heavy weigh cardstock for frame.
Chipboard: Laserowe Love Chipboard Bauble Ornament Shaker Box Shabby Wintery chipboard
Flowers and Berries:  Wild Orchid Craft Flowers
Embellishments:  Handmade bow May Art ribbon, handmade Mays Art Jute Burlap, May Art Crochet lace
Tools:  Scor Pal Scoring Board, Tonic Studio Super Crafter Trimmer and Scorer

TIP: Ribbons and/or lace add texture and elegance to a card.  Add some jute to this bow for that added rustic appearance and top it with a cluster of daisies, rustic colored rose and red berries to coordinate with the patterned paper. I even added lace using Scor-Tape for the edge of my card.

TIP:  For that rustic appearance, take your fingers and tear lightly inward around the edges of your paper.  Take your finger nails and scratch along the edges or scissors for that worn out look.  Sometime, I sponge a little bit of Ranger Espress or Ranger Vintage Photo ink around the torn edges.

I added a pocket made with rustic metallic gold cardstock and added the gorgeous birds from this cardstock.  I made a handmade bow with some berries since I always love ribbon any where I can have it on my cards and projects.

I added the Yuletide cardstock to both sides of the inside of my card.  I added some Ranger Distress Espresso ink to the snowflake chipboard to blend with the cardstock.  I fussy cut some of the flowers from the cardstock with the pine cones and adhered it to the card.  I love how my burlap blends so well with the burlap in the printed picture of these vintage ice skaters.

Blue Fern Studio Fairy Whispers Gift Box

Welcome back and Nancy, here, to share my altered gift box with the gorgeous Blue Fern Studio Fairy Whisper collection along with the Prima Marketing Grungy Frame. I just love the beautiful and elegant ladies in this collection of Fern Studio Fairy Whisper of fairies and gorgeous princesses with the unicorns of soft colors of lavender and purple of this gorgeous cardstock in the paper pad to build imaginative projects and cards and available at The Rubber Buggy.com while supplies last which won't be long so get your order in soon for this collection.

Don't you just love the frames in the Prima Marketing Grungy mould.  I am using the smaller frame that I made with epoxy resin and covered it with the shimmer colors of Prima Marketing White Pearl Art Alchemy Metallique Acrylic paints and used my fingers to dab the Prima Marketing French Lavender Art Alchemy Acrylic paints around the top to bring out some of the details of the frame.  I found this gorgeous vintage lady, flowers and butterfly in the Blue Fern Studios Fairy Whispers Ephemera Pack #2 which also has the other gorgeous ladies in this collection as well as in the Fairy Whisper paper but just cut out for you.  I typed the "Sisterly Love" and used lavender color for the font and printed it out and added behind the frame.

I added a doily behind the lady.  I handmade the lavender bow and added the lavender and white 10mm and 15mm Wild Orchid Craft roses.  I used a hot glue gun for the bow and flowers and Beacon 3-n-1 Advanced glue for adhering the cardstock to the box.

I cut out a 2" strip of Blue Fern Studio Bella Dream cardstock and adhered to the side of the box.
