Coffee Cup with Coffee Sleeve

Once a week, a couple groups of my friends and I go out for coffee and tea at coffee shop.  We celebrate birthdays and holidays at that time.  I designed this paper coffee mug to hold an envelope full of chocolate, coffee or tea besides holding a gift certificate or card.

I hope you make one of these paper mugs.  After having so much fun making the first one, you will not want to stop making more. Also, all of the Heartfelt Creation paper, dies and stamp sets besides the wonderful Scor-Tape are purchased at the wonderful The Rubber Buggy On-Line store that carries the top-named brand paper craft items and has great customer service and fast delivery.
ENJOY

 1)  MUG:   Cut 4 ” x 9 1/2” cardstock.  If you are wanting to emboss or stamp the mug, it is best to do this after cutting this rectangle out before assembling the mug.

2) Measure ½” on both sides on bottom of folded cardstock and mark.  Draw a line from the top to the ½” mark below.  Cut  bottom mark to corner of top on each side.

3)  Cut two 2” x 4 3/4” cardstock and score every
½” length.  Fold each score mark.

4)  Using double-sided tape, Scor-Tape preferred, on both ends of the scored cardstock, insert each side on the sides of the mug.
This may be tricky about the edges sticking just perfectly but  the cup sleeve will hide most of the imperfections.  Also, if the the sides of the mug hang over of the mug or visa versus, just cut some of the top with the sides together so that the the sides and mugs are aligned.

 5)  LID:   Cut cardstock at 2 ½” x 4 3/4” and score in center at 1 1/4" and fold.

6)  Mark ¼” on the top of the fold line on each side and cut from mark to corner of bottom on each side.  Glue a thin line the side edges and stick together.
7)  Side of Lid:  Cut two strips measuring 1/2" x 4 3/4".  Using two-sided tape, tape one strip on front and back of lid.

8) CUP SLEEVE:   Cut 1 ½” x 3 ½ and optional to emboss or stamp the cup sleeve.  Glue to the front and if you want the back to match the front, repeat these steps.  After glueing the cup sleeve on the mug, cut any part of the cup sleeve extending over the edge of the mug to make it fit the mug better.

Now is your turn to use your imagination and creativity to design your own paper mug and have fun personalizing it and putting some goodies in the mug for that special person.

Heartfelt Creations Products:
Heartfelt Creations Cross and Lilies Die HCD-719
Heartfelt Creations Cross and Lilies Cling Stamp HCPC- 3450
Heartfelt Creations Elegant Sentiments Stamp and Die Set HCSD1-2012
Heartfelt Creations Arianna Paper – HCDP1-244
Supplies:
Adhesive, Spellbinders S4-356 Nestabilities Decorative Elements Floral Ovals Die,
Spellbinder Nestabilities Classic Oval, Ribbon, Lace, Rhinestone and Pearl brad, Gold metallic card stock, White/Gold shimmer card stock, NUVO Crystal Drops – Dandelion, Copic Marker – BG23, Memento – Black Ink, Bazzill Blue and Yellow card stock, Self Adhesive Border Stickers, 3D Foam Tape, Adhesive
Instructions:
I made this book card template, click HERE and enlarged the template using a word document software measuring 6” x 9 ½”.  Enlarge each template by ¼” and print.   If you don’t have a printer large enough, any print store will do it for you.  Trace the smallest template on the Heartfelt Creations Arianna Blooms paper.  Trace and cut the other two templates on Bazzill yellow and blue card stocks.   Adhere each page on top of each other.
Using the Cross and Lilies die set, stamp and color the cross with Copic Markers, G11, E13 and YG13.  Cut the background cross with gold metallic card stock and cut the cross out with scissor and adhere together.  Using 3-D foam tape, tape the cross to the decorative oval.
Shape the lilies and Arianna flower with the Heartfelt Creations shaping kit.  For in depth instructions see the video, click HERE.  Adhere the lilies on the cross and apply NUVO Crystal Drops – Dandelion Yellow in the center of each lily.
Color the Heartfelt Creations roses with Copic Marker B12 and adhere to the card.  Adhere the Arianna Bloom flower on the center of the rose buds. Cut out the Regal Border and adhere to the card.  Stamp the sentiment on white/gold shimmer card stock and cut using the oval die.  Adhere to the Raindrop on Roses die cut and adhere to card.
Adhere the lace to the center of the card and cut 5 ½” white/silver ribbon and adhere to lace.  Adhere the rhinestone pearl to the lace.  Stick the self-adhesive border strips to the top and bottom of the first two book pages.
Inside Instructions:

Cut 7 ½” x 12 ½” and score in the center and adhere this to the back of the book.  In the Heartfelt Creations Arianna Bloom paper, cut 5” x 7” paper and adhere to the inside of the card.  Stamp the sentiment with black ink on rose-colored card stock and die cut.  Adhere this sentiment to the inside of the card.

Thank You Card #1

Hope you had a very good Christmas. After Christmas, I made Thank You cards.  I just love the Tutti Designs Swirling Thanks die now available at The Rubber Buggy.  I cut this die with white paper and colored it with Copic markers.
Tutti Designs Swirling Thanks

I always love to add flowers and ribbon/bow to each of my cards.
Blue Fern Studio - Sweet Heart has this gorgeous paper with a printed ribbon on the side and I just added a seam binding bow that almost matches this colored ribbon.

Blue Fern Studio - Sweet Heart
Heartfelt Creations flowers are so much fun to make.  I used the Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose and Heartfelt Creations Blushing Rose dies and stamps and colored the roses and leaves with Copic Markers but first I stamped the flowers in dark pink before using lighter Copic pink markers.

My favorite butterfly die is the Poppy Stamp Theo Butterfly.   I added NUVO Crystal Drops Oyster White on the center of the butterfly, center of one rose and  each little flower on the Tutti Designs Swirling Thanks die cut.  Take a closer look at the NUVO Crystal Drops Oyster White dots- very gorgeous!!!

Highly Recommend This
