Lavender Valentine Box

Welcome back Scrapy Land bloggers to our February Challenge #35 -Anything Goes.  It is getting closer to Valentine's Day and I am almost ready but want to show you what I have been up to this past few weeks.

I made each of my grand children a Valentine's box for chocolate candy or jewelry.  I will show you previous Valentine's boxes that I made at the end of this blog and hope to inspire you to try this out.  To see how I made the heart shape boxes below, visit my Heart Shape Box Tutorial

I made each box with different colors, flowers and images.  This is what I call the Lavender Valentine Box for my older grand daughter.  I started with the gorgeous Cheery Lynn Heart-To-Heart frame die set using the largest die to make the top and bottom base before cutting out two colors from this entire set to start with the top again.

The beautiful girl is from Wee Stamp.  I colored her with colored pencils rather than Copic Marker since the image was small and I wanted more pastel colors which I don't always get from using Copic on small images.  Afterward, I used a variety of Sakura glitter pens as well as glitter glue to bring out the roses and her wings.

I bought all of these dies that I used on this box from Scrapy Land this past month.  I love the Impression Obsession-Heart Stems in bows this year for various occasions besides baby breathe flowers.  I used a metallic purple cardstock to cut the heart stems.  Also, I used the Impression Obsession-Pine twig to fill in with the heart stems and bow.  The Sue Wilson-Finishing Touches-Petite Vinery and Sue Wilson-Finishing Touches- Dandelion Clocks are  an additional plus to add with flowers and bows on my projects this year.  I use my fingers to bend the leaves and I don't glue the entire vine down since I like the tips to curl.  I make my own hat pins.

The beautiful seam binding ribbon for this bow and gorgeous Wild Orchid Craft flowers are from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I make all of my bows using the Zutter Bow It All V2 which is purchased at Really Reasonable Ribbon which offers variety of gorgeous ribbon at reasonable prices.

This will be what the inside will look like for Valentines filled with chocolate or jewelry.

Other heart shape cards that I have made this month.

Well, I am not done but keeping following me at http://hillfarmcards.blog.spot to see the Valentine boxes that I have created and especially the one for a grand son which is still in question of how to do this yet..

Thank you for joining us at Scrapy Land and keep visiting the Scrapy Land Face Book and Scrapy Land Blog to continue to see the wonderful projects and cards that the designers have for you.  Can't wait to see what you have created!

I am entering this card in the following challenge:  Whimsy Stamp Challenge #91-Anything Goes.
