I have an exciting card to share with you. I have several grand daughters who will have birthdays these next coming months and two that will be 14 years old.
The purse idea was inspired by Angie Evans who created this on her cards. I took her idea and made a tutorial. This was my first tutorial using Snapguide and one page did not get saved about mentioning her name as well as some other information before it got published. Therefore, I definitely want to give credit to Angie Evans for inspiring me to use her purse idea.
Sue Wilson Design dies: Classic Fold Over Flowers Charming Heart Corner String Flowers Lace Edge Leaves |
I am using the Sue Wilson Design Happy Birthday die often since it allows a space to add a name or number. The number 14 is the Cottage Cutz Elites Die -Number Candles.
by Nancy Hill on Snapguide.
The die on the purse is the Marianne Design Anja's Vintage Decoration and the gorgeous ribbon on the purse is called the Antique Gold seam binding ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I used the Spellbinder/Heartfelt Creation Blossom Corner die for the inside of my cards to insert a check or money.
This Cheery Lynn Design- Polynesian Sails Oval is always a nice oval doily die to use for sentiments, pictures and photos. I love this doily especially for vintage cards. I don't glue the lace part of the doily but just the inside oval to bring out the lace.
Inside the doily, I used the Sparkle N Sprinkle.com sentiment: Happy Birthday - Digital Stamp Set 578t and on the sentiment was a Sparkle N Sprinkle flower that was stamped with glue and then applied the gorgeous Sparkle N Sprinkle Starfire glitter which is difficult to see the beauty of this glitter in the photo.

What a gorgeous birthday card you have created for one of your granddaughters! She is one lucky girl to have someone create such a grown up beautiful birthday card! The Sue Wilson dies are awesome and I love the embossing folders you used to create the background. I love the back of your card with the kitty design! What a wonderful reminder to neuter or spay our pets!

This is such an elegant card and I know your granddaughter will love it. Love how the candle numbers look like they are a part of the Happy Birthday die. Love the kitties on the back too!
LOL had to chuckle at your cat/kitten story Nancy! This card is just GORGEOUS and I'm sure will be very well received! AND, I love how you added the age number with that die ... what a great idea! Why didn't I think of that? LOL! Well done my friend!
