Valentine Card

Welcome back and I want to share with you this absolutely gorgeous Tutti Designs die called Flowery Heart.  A elegant and stunning die will be perfect especially for Valentines, anniversaries and weddings.  I just love the gorgeous flowers and butterflies in this die.  You can just imagine the possibilities and fun you will have with this die and I can't wait to see what you have created.

My first thought was how wonderful this die would be for Valentine's Day.  The die was easy to cut out with this red foil card stock.  I added 3mm flat back pearls in the center of each flower after I glued this gorgeous heart on the embossed shimmer white/gold card stock.

As you are well aware, I love adding ribbons, bows and ribbon buckle sliders or flat back pearl brads to my bows.  After adding a couple more embellishments, I am done with the front of the card.

I hope I inspired you to try this gorgeous die on your cards or projects.  I can see adding color to the flowers and/or butterflies to accent this die cut.  I would encourage you to check out the Tutti Designs Pinterest or Tutti Designs Facebook to get other ideas of how our other talented designers used this gorgeous die along with seeing other Tutti Designs dies on cards or projects.

Twas the Night Before Christmas

I made this Christmas card using the following supplies from The Rubber Buggy on-line store:  Tattered Lace-Shaped Shutter Card dies set with 50 dies, Poppy Stamp-Merry Christmas Banner, Heartfelt Creations-Gift Wrapped Present Stamp Set, and the gorgeous Graphic 45 - Twas the Night Before Christmas Long Winter Nap and Graphic 45 - Christmas Carol #1 - Good Cheers.

I have some instructions on my previous blogs on how I used the Tattered Lace-Shaped Shutter Card die set for my cards and there are some of these instructions of the back of the packet.

Wouldn't this new released Poppy Stamp Merry Christmas banner  die be gorgeous on a lot of projects and Christmas cards.  I used the wonder Bazzill cardstock Peppermint for the red and gold metallic card stock for the banner.

I used the Ranger Ice Stickles - Diamond on the white parts of Santa's suite to give it glitter and dimension and Ranger Ice Stickles - Christmas Red on the berries and ornaments as well as the stockings (photo above)

These wonderful supplies were purchased at The Rubber Buggy on-line store.  Now it is your turn to try these products out from The Rubber Buggy and see what you create!

Birthday Card using Tattered Lace Shutter Card die set

Hi, I am Nancy Hill and for those who haven't seen my last two posting for The Rubber Buggy, I am creating a variety of cards for this month using the wonderful Tattered Lace Shaped Shutter Card die from The Rubber Buggy.

If anyone has made a shutter card without using this die, there is a lot of time measuring and scoring which in the end, takes too much work for me to make a shutter card again. Tattered Lace has now created this die set with 50 dies that does the scoring and measuring for you.  The large main die will die cut your card base and provides all the components to make and decorate your own shaped cards.

Now, I am having loads of fun making a variety of shutter cards for those special people in my life.

Today, I am adding letters to the shutter card from this die set.  I cut out twice, TARA, a friend of mine, using the Bazzill lavender paper and the Maja Designs-Vintage Autumn Basic pattern paper.  By gluing the lavender paper behind the pattern paper, this will create a shadow effect behind the name to make it stand out.

The gorgeous printed papers are from the Maja Designs - Vintage Autumn Basics 6 x 6 pad and always another favorite, Pion Design - Scent of Lavender.  These paper pads with the coordinating pattern papers make it easier to create cards such as this one.

I added this is the gorgeous Poppy Stamp die called Theo Butterfly on the top square and colored it with the Prima Marketing-Art Alchemy Opal Magic-Rose Gold Acrylic Paint.  The opal acrylic paints come in a variety of two tone colors.  I love how soft the colors are on the dies and chip boards.  I just used my fingers this time to apply it on this butterfly and the drying time was so quick.

These wonderful supplies were purchased at The Rubber Buggy on-line store.  Now it is your turn to try these products out from The Rubber Buggy and see what you create!

Thanks with the Frilly Flower Frame from Tutti Designs

Happy Tuesday and I am so excited to share with you this new released Tutti Designs die called Frilly Flower Frame.  Think of the possibilities of how you would use this gorgeous die on your cards or projects.

I used lavender card stock to cut this die out and glued it on the oval which was cut with an oval die before gluing the flower die cut on this vintage pattern paper.   I love adding ribbon and bows to my cards with a ribbon buckle slider or flat back pearl brad in the center of the bow.

I would encourage you to check out the Tutti Designs Pinterest or Tutti Designs Facebook to get other ideas of how our other talented designers used this gorgeous die along with seeing other Tutti Designs dies on cards or projects.

Happy Birthday Accordion Card

Welcome back to our new Let's Craft and Create Challenge #116 "Spots or Stripes" for September 2016.

This is my first accordion card that I have made for a couple of years.  There are tutorials on U-Tube on how to put this accordion card together using the the Elizabeth Crafts Accordion Oval die.  I cut each section using a very thick card stock to cut the main frame before adding the pattern paper on top of each section.  I found the card tends to warp if I don't use a thick card stock for the main frame.  I covered one front and not the two backs of this accordion card.  If I had more of this pattern paper, I think the back would have looked nicer with the  same pattern paper.

I love to make my own flowers when I have time.  I just love the Sue Wilson Petite Peony Cluster flower die. I cut out two sets of the flowers with white glimmer paper and sponged it with a light Versa Mark pink and formed the petals with my fingers.  I added  3mm flat back pearls in the middle of each flower and then glued it on the flower on the main die.
I used the same white glimmer card stock and cut out two Sue Wilson Charming Hearts Corners for each side of the pages.

I used the First Edition Mulberry Kisses card stock and also cut out some butterflies from this pad.

Supplies Used
Elizabeth Crafts - Oval Accordion Die Set
Sue Wilson Designs - On Your Special Day
Sue Wilson Designs - Charming Hearts Corner
Sue Wilson Designs - Petite Peony Cluster
Cheery Lynn Designs - Happy Birthday
First Edition Paper - Mulberry Kisses (also butterflies included in this pad of card

Book of Spells

If you have been following my blogs, last Saturday I posted a card using the wonderful Tattered Lace Essential Shutter Card die set purchased from The Rubber Buggy.  I mentioned that I will be using this same die set each Saturday, Tattered Lace Essential Shutter Card for the next month making cards for other occasions.

For anyone who has made a shutter card, there is a lot of time and mistakes in measuring and scoring. Just look at the many dies in this set and you can see why Tattered Lace created this fantastic die set to take the pain of measuring and scoring every square and rectangle, etc. for making a shutter card.  Now it is loads of fun to make shutter cards.  Look at the additional dies in this set to cut patterned paper and even more dies in this set to add the sentiment or image, making many layers if you want.  I would image now that you are seeing the possibilities that you have now making shutter cards for special people in your life.

The Rubber Buggy sells a wide variety of colored Bazzill premium card stock. I love the weight and quality of the Bazzill card stock papers especially for frames.  I used the Bazzill Licorice Twist (Black) card stock to cut out the shutter card frame using the Tattered Lace Shutter Card die and glued each piece onto the shutter card frame.

The fun begins when adding the sentiments and pattern paper.  I have used the gorgeous varies of Halloween paper from Graphic 45:  Halloween in WonderlandRare Oddities Brews and Potions, and Steampunk Spells-Nevermore.

Graphic 45 Rare Oddity Stamp Set
I used this gorgeous stamp set came from the Graphic 45 Rare Oddity One Stamp Set with the Misti Stamp tool to get the black ink to show up so well.

Now it is your turn to try these products out from The Rubber Buggy and see what you create!

Fluttering Butterfly

Every Tuesday, I get the opportunity to share with you another gorgeous Tutti Designs die that I used on my cards or projects.  Today,  I am sharing with you this gorgeous new release die called the Tutti Designs Fluttering Butterfly Corner.  Isn't this gorgeous and lovely on any of your cards and projects.

I colored each butterfly with a light blue Copic Marker to match the blues in the pattern paper.  I added 3mm white flat back pearls to each of the flowers.  I glued mint green ribbon and bow to the corners and added some flowers.  I framed the pattern paper with a square frame using mint green card stock and white shimmer card stock.

You can add any sentiment to the center but I needed to make several birthday cards.

Halloween in Wonderland

Making other shapes of cards like this shutter card is a challenge but so much easier using the  Tattered Lace Essential Shutter Card die set from The Rubber Buggy on-line store.   Tattered Lace did the measurement and scoring for you to create a fun shutter card using any of the 52 dies in this set.
The Rubber Buggy sells a wide variety of colored Bazzill premium card stock. I love the weight of the Bazzill card stock papers especially for frames.  I used the Bazzill Licorice Twist (Black) card stock to cut out the shutter card frame using the Tattered Lace Shutter die and used the squares and rectangles in this die set to cut out the gorgeous Bazzill Candy card stock  and glued each piece onto the shutter card frame.

The Graphic 45 Halloween card stock paper, Graphic 45 Halloween in Wonderland, Graphic 45 Rare Oddities and Graphic 45 Steam Puck Spells are so much fun to use in creating a variety of Halloween cards and projects like this shutter card.   The gorgeous stamp set came from the Graphic 45 Rare Oddity One Stamp Set and was used on the orange squares. I used the Misti Stamp tool to get the black ink to show up so well.
This is the front of the card  and once it is folded, it is ready to mail in a regular sized envelope.  I used the gorgeous Wild Orchid Craft flowers.  Check out the  wide variety of Wild Orchid Craft flowers like the roses and rose buds that The Rubber Buggy has in their store for you.   Can you imagine the gorgeous ways you can uses these flowers on your cards and projects?

For the next several Saturdays, I will be showing you more shutter cards made with this fantastic Tattered Lace Shutter Card die set that is easy for you to use this year for creating fun cards for all occasions.

Friends Are Like Flowers That Never Fade

Welcome back every Tuesday for another one of my postings using a gorgeous Tutti Designs dies like this beautiful Triple Flower Edge which is shown below on my card.  Isn't this flower die gorgeous with the beautiful leaves and flowers.

I cut this die out of white/gold shimmer  paper and glued it on this patterned paper.  I stamped the sentiment and used 3mm flat back white pearls on the flowers.

I added a square frame around the patterned paper and finished the card with May Art coral ribbon with a pearl brad in the center.
