Easter Notebook

 

 

Welcome back Really Reasonable Ribbon bloggers.  I have a very fun project to share with you.  I am giving each of my grand children for Easter a decorative notebook, mini album or diary.  I am having so much fun with the Graphic 45 Classic Collections, Once Upon A Springtime, with fairies and bunnies along with the varieties of gorgeous laces, ribbons and supplies from Really Reasonable Ribbon to make my Easter projects.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has the variety of sizes and colors of ribbon to give your card or project that special WOW! 

 

 

  

My grand daughters are into fairies and this nana is also loving fairies now so the Graphic 45 Springtime collection was my choice to use for this Easter present.  The cover of the diary is leather.  Therefore, I used 1" Scor-Tape to stick the paper onto the leather. 

I created a tutorial for you on how to make a variety of lovely flowers out of ribbon using the quality of satin ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I tried using florist and other ribbons but found that the variety of stain ribbon from RRR didn't burn and the petals curled very nicely using a candle in a jar.  This flower was made using the gorgeous 5/8" Double Faced Satin White ribbon and 5/8" Double-Face Satin Flash Green.  The bow also was made using the 5/8" Double Face Satin ribbon  with the beautiful Melon seam binding ribbon.  Both bows were made using the Zutter Bow It All bow maker and attached with  Scor-Tape from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  In the past, my bows were not as fancy as they are now using the Zutter Bow It All.  Making bows are so much fun now!!!  The green leaf is the Cheery Lynn Design Ivy strip and the white is Sue Wilson Designs-Lace Edged Leaves.

The beautiful cream/ivory Arianna Natural Crochet lace is on the sides and I used 1/2" Scor-Tape to stick the lace on the paper.  This tape is much better than glue for lace and ribbon. 

 

 The back cover of the diary is the 5/8" Double Faced Satin White ribbon with a 3/8" strip of Graphic 45 paper down the center of the ribbon.   The owl, castle and knight are dies from Tattered Lace's new collection. 

This is the inside of the diary.  I cut out these flowers from the Graphic 45 Springtime collection and used foam tape and glue on the back to give the flowers some dimension.  Again, this knight is a die from the Tattered Lace new collection. 

 

 

This page is inside on the second paper of the diary.  This very cute dragon is Freddie from digital Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet.  I loved Sylvia's digital stamps.   I colored Freddie using Copic markers and colored pencils.  I cut this out and used foam tape and glue on the back.  I cut out the flowers in the Graphic 45 Springtime Collection and also used some foam tape and glue to apply it on this page to give these flowers some dimension. 

 

This is a lot of information but I didn't want you to miss out of how I did this diary in case you are interested doing this.  Yes, it might take some time but I take more time thinking about my next step than doing it.

Springtime Card

Welcome back Scrapy Land bloggers and we have another exciting challenge for you at Scrapy Land Blog challenge 36 called "Tie One On" including a bow (die or ribbon).  Scrapy Land has over 40-named brand dies at discounted prices.  The customer service is top-notched and you will get your orders to you fast.  Normally, I get my order within three days which is great. 
Easter and St. Patrick's Day is around the corner and Scrapy Land has those dies that will make your card stand out with that "WOW" look.

While we still have snow on the ground, I am thinking spring and beautiful pastel colors.  My little sweet picture is from Sylvia Zet Wee digi stamps online.  I colored it with colored pencils and used the Starfire glitter on the flowers by Sparkle N Sprinkle.  The sentiment is an old Stampin Up stamp.

The oval doily die is the Cheery Lynn Designs Kiwi Oval frame, the green vine is the Sue Wilson-Finishing Touches-Petite Vinery.  I am using the vinery often with my flowers and prefer not to glue but just part of the stem and leave the vines and leaves loose.  The corners is from the Sue Wilson-Scandinavian corner/border/tag set.  I am loving this set and like the small corner die for many of my cards.  I use the border often and glue ribbon or pearls in the middle of the border.  In the center of the flowers is the Impression Obsession fir sprig set.  I like this better than using a punch since the fir sprig die cuts through regular and heavy card stock as well as glitter card stock. 

The embossing folder is the Sue Wilson Designs-Rambling Blossoms.  The gorgeous ribbon is the light coral satin ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon that has a variety and reasonably priced ribbon and Wild Orchid Craft flowers that I used on this card and this company also has fast service and great customer services. 

I made the pearl and diamond embellishment on the ribbon using a flat button.

Peach Valentine Box

Welcome back and time is going by fast and already it is my day to share with you some beautiful ribbons and Wild Orchid Craft flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.com.  I hope you are keeping watch each day visiting the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog to see what our fantastic designers have for you as well as participating in our challenges. 

If you have been following my blog, I am making a variety of Valentine boxes filled with chocolate and jewelry  for each of my grand children, daughters, and daughter-in-laws.  The two boxes are my  Peach Valentine Box, one heart shape and the other square.  To see my tutorial on how to make heart shape boxes, click on:   Heart Shape Box Tutorial

I am loving the peach and lavender colors this year and this very gorgeous coral/peach ribbon is called the Double-Face Light Coral ribbon and it comes in four sizes.  I used the 1" size but will have to make sure that I have all of the sizes of ribbon and flowers in my stock since spring is coming and coral/peach colors are gorgeous for this time of year.  The beautiful and delicate lace ribbon is the 7/8" Betsy White Crochet Lace and behind the bow is the 1 1/2" white netting.   All of the variety of  Wild Orchid Craft flowers came from Really Reasonable Ribbon. 

Really Reasonable Ribbon sells the Scor-Tape and Zutter Bow It All V2 bow maker.  I used the 1.5" Scor-Tape to attach the bow onto the box.  I use this Scor-Tape to attach all of my bows since I can arrange the ribbon on the bow and move it around until I get the arrangement I want.  Afterwards, the ribbons on the bow stays in the exact place I want it.  I used the Zutter Bow It All V2 to make this two ribbon bow. 

Seaming bind Cream ribbon and Pink Salmon ribbons.  Chloe Natural Crochet Lace and Wild Orchid Craft flowers. 

Dies were Cheery Lynn frames:  Horizontal Circle Frame, Heart to Heart, and Butterfly Set#2.  Paper was Graphic 45.

Red Valentine's Candy Box

Today is my day on Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, to share with you one of my seven  Valentine's chocolate or jewelry boxes that I made so far using the gorgeous ribbon, tape, flowers and the fantastic Zutter Bow It All V2 bow maker from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  To see how I made this heart shape box, visit my blog tutorial:  Heart Shape Box Tutorial

 
If you are following my blog, I am using different images, colors and ribbons on each Valentine's  box that I am making for each of my grand children.  I hope to have the tutorial on how to make the heart shaped boxes using the largest of the Cheery Lynn Heart to Heart die on my blog this coming week.  The Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge on January 22nd, another Valentine's box with a variety of different Wild Craft flowers, ribbons and images will be posted from my blog.


 I love the red and white plaid ribbons with the 1 1/2" red netting behind the bow.  I always attach my bows with Scor-Tape.  Really Reasonable Ribbon offers a variety of Scor-Tape sizes.  I used 1 1/2" Scor-Tape for attaching most of my bows on cards and projects.  My bows are always formed using the Zutter Bow It All V2 bow maker.   The cute little hearts are from Impression Obsession-Heart Stem die, the gorgeous butterfly are from the Cheery Lynn Butterfly Set #2 and the green leaf stem is the Sue Wilson-Delicate Fronds.    The center die is the Cheery Lynn Heart To Heart set and the top and bottom of the heart shape box were cut from the largest of this die set.  I made this hat pin.

The side of this Valentine's heart box is the beautiful 5/8" Elastic Double Ruffle Red Plaid ribbon and behind it is the Sue Wilson- Scandinavian Border. 

I am using some of these boxes for jewelry and the others for chocolates for Valentine's Day.
