Handmade Autumn Wreath

Welcome to my blog, Nancy Hill for The Rubber Buggy Design Team.  I made my 8" wreath with grape vines, Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower dies and stamps, Elizabeth Craft Crysanthemum die, an old maple leaf punch, Tattered Lace Floral Layer leaf die set, starfoam pumpkins and wheat from our field and pine cones from trees.

After stamps and die cutting the Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflowers, use flower shaping kit to mold the petals on the back.  Sponge with NUVO Embellishment Mousse fall colors listed below and sponge Lawn Fawn Sunflower ink on the center of each petal.  Adhere US Art Quest Express Yourself Prills to the center of each sunflower.
NUVO Embellishment Mousse-Indian Gold
NUVO Embellishment Mousse-Persian Red
NUVO Embellishment Mousse - Coral Calypso
Cut out the Tattered Lace Floral Layer leaves and sponge some of the NUVO mousse fall colors on the tips.

Cut out each Elizabeth Craft Crysanthemum flower with different fall colored cardstock.  Using a flower shaping kit, curl the petals upward and adhere the layers.

Stamp and embossed with NUVO Gold Enchantment embossing powder the  Heartfelt Creations Banner with the sentiment and heat the powder with the hot embossing gun.  Cut out a 8" floral wire and bend in the center.  Using a hot glue gun, glue 3" of the double wire on the back of the banner.  The remaining wire will be used to attach and glue to the wreath at the end of the floral arrangement.

Cut enough 3" wire strips for each flower, leaf and pumpkins.  Curled one end of each wire enough to be able to use a hot glue gun to attach it to each flower.  I was able to use a long nose plier and curl about two small circles of wire that was enough to do a good attachment.  Using a hot glue gun, glue the curl end of the wire to each flower, pine cone and star foam pumpkin.

Cut 3" floral wire and glue about 1" of the wire to the back of each leaf. This will make the leaves able to bend a little plus add sturdiness.

Make a floral bow and use a hot glue gun to glue the bow to the wreath.  Arrange your autumn arrangement by poking the wire attached to the flowers, etc.  When you get the arrangement you want, use the hot glue gun and glue each wire attached to a flower or leaf  to the wreath.  If any wire is sticking out of the wreath, just attach it to the wreath or cut it off.  I was able to curl the wire attached to the banner to give it a wave appearance.  Using the hot glue gun, glue around the wires inside the wreath to make it stay there permanently.

I can't wait to see the possibilities that you will create making a wreath.  You can purchase these dies and supplies from The Rubber Buggy on-line store.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!

Birthday Card for Sis

Welcome and Nancy Hill for The Rubber Buggy Design Team.  I am excited to share my card with you made with the gorgeous coordinating papers, dies and stamps sets from Heartfelt Creations that is sold at The Rubber Buggy.com online store..  This collection is call the Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower set.

This card measures 5 3/4" x 8" on the outside.  I cut out the top left frame found in the Heartfelt Creations 12" x 12" paper pad.  Look at the many gorgeous frames just on this one page in this paper pad.
I added frames cut out with Bazzill Banana Split yellow, burnt orange and brown cardstock.  Orange frame measures 5 1/2" x 7 3/4".  Yellow frame measures 5 5/16"  x 7 1/4" and the brown frame is 5 3/4 x 8".

Stamp the Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower stamp with brown ink on cardstock.  You will need two sunflower sets.  Die cut and lightly sponge the center and tips of the petals with NUVO Embellishment Mousse Copper.   You will need to spray a little water often in the embellishment mousse after opening the jar to apply the cream with your fingers on the petals.

Use a flower shaping tool to shape each petal.  If you aren't familiar about shaping flowers, Heartfelt Creations has a tutorial on how to shape their sunflowers.  Click Here to see this tutorial. After gluing the layers of the sunflower together, I glued the US Artquest Espress Yourself Prills and Go-Man-Go Prills in the center of each sunflowers.

I cut out one Heartfelt Creations Blushing Rose die shown on the bottom right for the swirls and leaves.  I use this Heartfelt Creations Blushing Rose die and the Heartfelt Creations Blushing Rose stamp set for various flowers and glue different flowers where the flowers are stamped.  The leaves and swirls are gorgeous with most flowers.

I used a hot glue gun to adhere the flowers and bow to the card.

I can't wait to see the possibilities that you will create making an sunflower card using the Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower paper, dies and stamp sets. I really encourage you to purchase the entire coordinating Heartfelt Classic Sunflower collections from The Rubber Buggy.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!

SunFlower Card with Drawer

I created a tutorial for you on how to make my easel cards with a drawer.  Click HERE to view the tutorial.    For this easel card, I am using the Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower collection of coordinating paper, dies and stamps and other craft supplies from The Rubber Buggy on-line store.   I advise watching the Heartfelt Creation U-Tube video about making these sunflowers but I also added the additional petals in the center with the Prills.  I sponged on the Lawn Fawn Sunflower ink on the petals after stamping the sunflowers with a rust colored ink before die cutting the flowers.   I added the leaf cut from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Rose die set.  The patterned paper and butterfly was cut out from the Heartfelt Creations Classic Sunflower paper pad.  I glue the bow and large sunflowers on the card with a hot glue gun.

Heartfelt Creations Shoe Cards

I just had a birthday party from wonderful friends and family who gave me beautiful flowers. I choose each of my friends favorite flowers and made flowers and a card to symbolize our friendship and thanks using the Heartfelt Creations collections starting with the Heartfelt Creations All Glammed Up shoe die and stamp set from The Rubber Buggy on-line store.

With this beautiful stamp set, I used the corner border stamp for the inside of the card and colored it with Copic markers.  I will write  my thank you note inside the card.

Heartfelt Creations Blushing Rose paper collection,  set, Heartfelt Creations All Classic Rose Stamp Set, Heartfelt Creations All Classic Rose Die Set, Venise Lace
Heartfelt Creations Petunia paper, Heartfelt Creations Small Petunia Die set, Heartfelt Creations Small Petunia Stamp Set, Go Green Prills, Venice Lace
Heartfelt Creations Peacock Paisley paper, Heartfelt Creations Delightful Daisy die set, Heartfelt Creations Daisy Stamp Set, Heart Gold Prills, Poppy Stamp Theo Butterfly die

The finished shoe card measures 4 1/2" x 5 1/5" .  Inside of card, fold paper in half and die cut with part of the heel of the shoe about 1/4" off the fold line.  See next photo for sample.

I cut the front with Heartfelt Creations Blushing Rose paper collection and cut off the heel and glued to the first page of the purple shoe.  Since the purple paper is light weight, I cut out another cream colored shoe to glue on the back of the card and cut part of the back of the shoe to match the fold line of the purple shoe so that the front of the card will fold easily.  See photo below

I can't wait to see the possibilities that you will create making a shoe card.  I really encourage you to purchase the entire coordinating Heartfelt Creations collections from

Thinking Of You

Welcome back bloggers and I am sooooo excited to share with you some techniques that I have used on my autumn card made with Heartfelt Creations Woodsy Wonderland and Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur Flowers dies and stamps sets along with NUVO Embellishment Mousse colors and Copic markers.  All of these amazing coordinating Heartfelt Creations papers, dies and stamps sets  came from The Rubber Buggy on-line store.  The Rubber Buggy has wonderful name-brand craft products with fast delivery and fantastic customer service.

I love the coordinating dies, stamps and paper in the Heartfelt Creations Woodsy Wonderland collection.  We have several relatives who love the outdoors and also a few hunters.  I have made several cards and projects with this collection and love how easy it is to make wonderful cards and this shadow box card using the beautiful trees, animals and birds in this collection.

I colored most of the animals with Copic markers and the squirrel and birds were cut out of the Heartfelt Creations Woodsy Wonderland paper collection.

One technique that I love to share with you is that the sunset was colored with NUVO Embellishment Mousse colors of Aqua Marine, Peony Pink, Coral Calypso, Lemon Sorbet and Mother-of-Pearl.  I sprayed some water on the heavy white card stock and also sprayed some water in each of the NUVO Mousse jars.  I would suggest to start on top with the NUVO Mousse Aqua Marine using a sponge or wet cloth and use the Pink and Coral and work in the Lemon Sorbet.  Use the Mother-of-Pearl with a brush to create a few faint clouds in the sunset.

Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur Stamp and Die Set

I sponged on NUVO Embellishment Mousse - Lemon Sorbet, Persian Red and Coral Calypso on the
Heartfelt Creations Sun Kissed Fleur petals after using a flower molding tool to shape the flowers.

Another technique that I have found is creating a mix colors in the Prills using Copic markers.  After gluing the center of each flower, I dipped the center in Prills - Go Man Go and let it dry.  I took the fine pointed felt side of the Copic marker and tap some of the tops of the Prills with red, black, green and brown Copic markers.

Minnie Pearl Prills

I did the same steps with these flowers shown below of applying glue and adding the white Minnie Pearl Prills to these flowers.  After the glue dried, I colored most of the Prills with pink and lavender Copic markers using the fine tip of the Copic markers.

I will need to make a video within a few weeks on how I made my shadow box for this card.  I thought it would take some time but I created this shadow box within minutes.  The depth of the shadow box is only 1/4" which is good for mailing.  I research shadow boxes on line and got some of my ideas and modified some of their instructions.  Keep watching my blog and hopefully, I will get this videoed shortly.

Heartfelt Creations Wishes Stamp Set

The card measures 7 1/2" x 9" and the shadow box measures 6" x 8".  After creating this card, I could have made this smaller and plan on doing this for my next shadow box card.  I plan on creating a winter and/or Christmas card using this same collection and doing a shadow box card.

Overall, loads of fun creating this card for a very special person.  I plan on putting this in a small box to send it to him. If you plan on giving your card in person, you can gift wrap it in tissue paper or gift wrapping paper.

I can't wait to see the possibilities that you will create making a shadow box card.  I really encourage you to purchase the entire coordinating collection of the Heartfelt Creations Woodsy Wonderland paper, dies and stamps from
The Rubber Buggy.

Enjoy and Happy Crafting!

Gift and Card Envelope

Loads of fun creating a gift card envelope and hope you try this out.  I watched Heartfelt Creations tutorial and tried it out on my first envelope and then revised it to fit the fits that I plan to insert in these envelopes.  Most of my friends are paper crafters and I plan on inserting dies to give them for their birthdays and Christmas presents.

Just click below and it will take you to my tutorial on Snapguide.  This tutorial has several slides in it so I won't miss a step for you.  As they say, "A picture is worth a thousand words".  Therefore, I would rather have lots of pictures with instructions than just try to explain it in words.

Check out How to Create a Gift Card in Envelope by Nancy Hill on Snapguide.

This gift card envelope measures 5 1/2" x 7".  Below is the inside of the envelope.  Behind each flower is a magnet.  When you close the envelope, the magnets will stick.  Again, all of these instructions to make my gift card envelopes are in the Snap Guide.  Just click on the web link above.
This photo shows the folded cardstock inserted in the envelope.  This fold provides more space to add the gift.  I will be modifying the size of the envelopes in the future depending on the size of the gifts like a die, check or gift card.

This gift card envelope measures 7" x 9"
This is the inside of the gift card envelope.  This time, I just taped the magnets.  Depending on the strength of your magnets, you could glue each magnet under the paper.  This was my first gift card envelope and wasn't sure what I was going to use to keep the envelop closed.
